My Reactions
There's a lot of thoughts from Beatrice in this chapter that show regret, and that she feels guilt for abandoning her family. I was sort of surprised by this because after Tris had her makeover she seemed to lose that part of her.

Impact Statement

In chapter 12, Beatrice is woken up very early in the morning, before the sun has risen. Her and other initiates, including Dauntless-born initiates this time. They are led farther out into the abandoned part of the city and play a game of capture the flag with paintball guns. Tris' team ends up winning, with Tris discovering where the flag was and coming up with the plan to get it.

My Reactions
During this chapter, Tris climbs an abandoned ferris wheel and i could feel the stress from the writing. Reading ab her heart racing and being 100 feet up made my hands sweaty.

Impact Statement
