(Dark, Ominous, Playful, Energetic, etc) the mood of this piece is exciting</div><div>-How does Mussorgsky represent the visual artwork shown through his music?  he uses a wide range of notes</div><div><strong> SHMRG Questions</strong><br><strong> SOUND</strong><br> -What dynamic(s) do you hear?  (piano, mezzo-piano, mezzo-forte, forte) its piano and then forte.<br> -Do the dynamics change over time?  How? yes because your hearing piano then forte.<br><strong> Harmony</strong></div><div><em> -Is the piece in MAJOR or Minor? the tonality is complex, but minor is in the beginning.<br> -Does that change throughout the piece? yes, its minor at first.</em></div><div><strong> Melody</strong><br> -Does the melody have a wide or narrow range? wide range.</div><div> -Is it mostly Conjunct (stepwise) or Disjunct (jumps around)? disjunct</div><div><strong> Rhythm</strong><br> -What is the meter (time signature) of the piece?  some type of quadruple </div><div> -Does that change or stay the same?  it stays the same</div><div><strong> Growth</strong><br> -How could you describe the piece from start to finish  (ABA, Verse/Chorus, etc)?
