         <description><![CDATA[<div>San Joaquin Valley and west hill foot lands of Sierra Nevada. Which is now modern day Fresno to Tulare. The Valley used to be a giant river filled with grass. They lived in a permanent village by the river. They dealt with long hot summer and mild winters. Animals in the region were deer, fish, rabbit, and raccoons. Some plants were nuts, berries, acorns, and seeds.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div> They grew maize, squash, and through system they call the 3 sister system. Would prepare food based on nutrition so they would prepare the food for their certain needs. They would also harvest the plants at different times to get the nutritional values (like sweet corn and dry corn). They hunted elk, deer, beavers, bears, some types of birds, and rabbit. They would eat the meat fresh or leave it to dry. They would also eat fish they caught. And they harvested wild berries, herbs, and maple. They made medicines with boiled maple and herbs.<br>They lives in housed called longhouses which were large rectangular houses with a wooden frame and walls of bark. The village was made up of may longhouses with many families living in one house in different rooms. (up to 60 people could live in one house.)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Aztecs drained the swampy land near the southwest border of Lake Texcoco, they built artifical islands where they made farms to plant iteams such as, corn, beans, squashes, potatoes, tomatoes, and avacado. They also supported themselves through fishing and hunting the animals that were native to that territory. The Aztecs lived in manmade adobe homes. These homes were made from adobe clay after it had been sundried.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>(There was what was called oral tradition, which was when things of the past and knowledge were passed orally. They listened to know. Their religion was based on anisism. (The other part above talks about this.) They also believed in an essential spirit called Kitchi Manitou. In their cultures, there were also shamans and they were the only ones who could communicate with the spirits. Ceremonies for them included celebrating the changing of the seasons and they would perform rituals in order to commemorate life phases. They would also paint their faces during these rituals to show expressions. </div>]]></description>

(Mohawks, Oneidas, Onondagas, Cayugas, and Senecas.)  They believe in spirits, gods, and demons. They have a god called the Great Spirit who sent his daughter Sky Woman who brought light. Their evil spirit is called Evil spirit. </div><div><br><br></div><div>They held ceremonies where they burned tobacco to pray to The Great Spirit. They also had tobacco and strawberries growing ceremonies.</div><div>They had no religious leader any individual man or woman can be appointed to make ceremonies.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
