The Respiratory system is a complex network of bronchus, bronchioles and alveoli that absorb oxygen into the blood and exchange carbon dioxide for oxygen. Asthma swells up the bronchioles and constricts the muscles around the bronchioles, which promotes the buildup of mucus. It may also affect the circulatory system when you have an asthma attack because your heart cannot pump oxygen into the bloodstream. That will affect your muscular system. The muscular system supports the skeleton, maintains posture and generates heat through cell metabolism.
