Most Pressing Question about Language A: Language and Literature Course: One of the most pressing questions I have about the Language A: Language and Literature course is how to effectively integrate diverse literary texts and cultural perspectives into the curriculum to engage and inspire my students while meeting the requirements of the IB curriculum.

Developing Positive Online Professional Relationships: To develop positive online professional relationships for the workshop and beyond, I plan to actively participate in discussions, ask thoughtful questions, and offer support and feedback to my fellow educators. I believe in the power of collaboration and am eager to connect with colleagues who share a passion for teaching language and literature.

Successful Outcome for the Workshop:

1. Gain a deeper understanding of effective teaching strategies and assessment practices specific to the Language A: Language and Literature course.

2.The idea of a canon, which means a list of important literary works, can be helpful because it gives us a starting point for studying literature. But it can also be limiting because it often includes mostly works by certain groups of people, leaving out others. Canons get established over time through a combination of factors like popularity, influence, and the opinions of critics and scholars.

3.As a teacher, the books and stories I choose to teach form a kind of canon for my students. It matters because the stories we read in class help shape our understanding of the world and ourselves. By including a diverse range of voices and perspectives in the literature we study, we can help encourage empathy and understanding.
