]]> 2017-09-22 14:47:05 UTC https://padlet.com/klouis9160/lrmlvhseoca3/wish/190158745 Book Review klouis9160 https://padlet.com/klouis9160/lrmlvhseoca3/wish/190811581         Yellow Star is a book about one of the twelve children that survived the World War II.I can closely relate to this because if I were a Jew and was taken by away by the Nazis I would be scared also .But i also would be happy if my parents told me to hide in a graveyard in order to not get taken away .Also when a German left the cellar Syvia was free to get out of hiding !! Another thing that i would be terrified about is that all Jews must wear a yellow star badge out in public or else the Nazis could arrest or kill you on the spot .         Anyways I could relate to Syvia's life a lot , I think i would recommend this book to kids and adults who want to learn more about Jewish History .I also think the Nazis were people who killed people for having a different religion .What I don't understand is that why would they do such a thing , it is kind of a sad book because kids get taken away from their families , and if you didn't give up your child you could die .I also think of this book as a history and adventure category .

Syvia is one of the twelve children that survived World War II . Nazis can shoot or kill a jew in a flash . They invaded their town and sent some to death camps . Hava Syvia's cousin went missing one day . Syvia's mother and papa searched and searched for her . The German Soldiers took her away . The Lodz Ghetto wasn't a very safe place for the Jews. Syvia always loved her doll until that too one day went missing.
         Dora and Syvia got put in a cellar for a couple of days . They knew they were safe until the Nazis invaded the Ghetto Lodz again . One day the Nazizs rounded up all of the children at the train station . They were scared and some of them were even fainting . Papa took Dora and Syvia to the cellar again and thats when they were found after a few days of hiding. But in the end they were safe and the Jews were free !!
