I have chosen financial literacy because I strongly feel that my students need this area of learning the most. Residents living in the London area have higher bankruptcy rates than those living in areas with similar populations such as Hamilton and Barrie (Hoyes, Michalos & Associates Inc., 2022).

They cover basic topics such as stocks and stock markets; they also cover advanced topics such as diversification and financial analysis.

Equity: These videos are free. I can post links to them on Brightspace so students can watch them anytime if they miss class on the days I show them.

Diversity: These videos communicate mostly through visuals. However, they have captions for students who need these concepts reinforced through words. Students who are already familiar with investing can skip the basic videos and only watch the advanced ones.

This guide demonstrates how to calculate the most common type of ratios used in financial analysis and, more importantly, explains what they mean in simple terms. Each formula is followed by a real-life example.

Diversity: This guide includes a sample Excel template that students can download and use to perform financial analysis. It also includes hyperlinks for terms mentioned in each section that explain their meaning. Wall Street Mojo allows teachers to copy/paste visuals from this guide into graphic organizers that students can use to organize and consolidate their learning.
