Imalek tablet is mainly given to treat leukaemia, cancer of cells in the bone marrow. Imatinib is also used in some myelodysplastic / myeloproliferative disorders (MDS / MPD). Imatinib can also be used to treat gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), gastrointestinal stromal tumors (gastrointestinal cancer), and also type of skin cancer dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP).
