Since beginning the charity two years ago with only 10 child beneficiaries, Gloria Byars has grown it to its current position of feeding over 100 children per week and attracting support from over 25 donors. Besides the food program, Ms. Byars volunteers with the Church of the Overcomer in Trainer, Pennsylvania, where she helps people who have gone through the criminal justice system start their lives afresh and crime-free. She also helps these individuals to attend substance abuse programs, find employment, and secure stable housing. Professionally, Gloria Byars is a court-appointed guardian working with Global Guardian Services. In this role, she oversees the welfare and safety of seniors who are incapacitated, helping them gain approval for state assistance grants, receive competent medical care, and find suitable housing.
