While these drawings by João A. Carvalho are sore simple than some, I love seeing how just these simple lines along with a bit of shading create such 3-d looking figures and shapes.

My family has been creating sand sculptrues every year when we go to the beach. While the Beathany Beach sand and sun would never allow us to create anyhting as detailed as this, we try to do the best we can.
