Persuasive Claim - Megalodon (MG6) by Mark Giraldi

Megalodon (a dinosaur shark) is not extinct, and could be responsible for attacks on humans! After watching the 2013 Shark Week 'documentary' on Megalodon, what are some points people could use to try and convince others that Megalodon might still be alive today?

Some facts and data that support the claim that Megalodon (a monster shark from the dinosaur age) may still be alive are that a humpback whale (the traditional food source of Megalodon) washed ashore in Hawaii after being bitten in half by an extremely large predator. There are no known ocean predators big enough to attack and kill a full-sized whale, let alone cutting it in half in a single bite. This points to a predator like Megalodon still being around!

A fact that the Megalodon(a dinosaur shark) still exist is that we only explored 5% of the ocean, so there is a chance that it stills exist. We have proof from a world war 2 photo taken by the Germans, shows in the background, a sharks dorsal fin and tail fin. Measuring 62ft and the fin was 6ft above sea level. So half the shark is 62ft imagine how big the whole shark will be.

Megalodon(a dinosaur shark that has been known to be extinct for many years) has a chance of still living. In WWII the Germans were traveling over the seas of Cape Town and saw two fins that were opposite from each other and between the length was a gap above 60 feet long, no sea creature can be that big, the only one close was the known to be extinct called Megalodon. It only points to one creature "Megalodon".With the weather getting better and the population increasing Megalodon will more likely to be alive.

In this picture it show that at the end if the documentary it says it was fake and dramatized. Also in the beginning they show people's death when they are not allowed to. The Discovery channel has also made us believe them that the megalodon is real. They also made us believe the water is no longer safe at Cape Town and other place which inhabit whales. They also made the scene where they show you that it is fake go by in seconds

Shark is not that big a enough a whales teeth are not strong enough, so that would mean it is a Megalodon .Second example is a that the shark spotter took a picture of the shark the shark was longer than a normal shark and also that means that the Megalodon exists no other sea creature is as long as the picture.

I think of this because, in World War II, a photo of a shark beside a Nazi submarine. I know that this is Megalodon because, in the photo, the distance between the shark's dorsal fin and tail fin was about a length of half the submarine! This is a big reason why Megalodon still might be real.

The sea creature named Megalodon could still be living because in Mexico a humpback whale was bitten in half and the humpback whale's predator is Megalodon and only Megalodon could bite a half of the whale. The Megalodon is real because in world war 1 the notzie's spotted a giant shark bigger then their submarine. The middle fin was big as the submarine. Also 6 fishermen died because of this shark I know that because only a huge shark could do that and megalodin is big enough to do it. The colecanth was suppose to be extinct but the scientists found it in the 1900s and the megamouth shark was suppose to be extinct but a fishermen found it. If these sea creatures are not extinct why can't the Megalodon be real?
