Instead, they claimed that they were the victims of the western world. They also claimed that both the Serbs and non-Serbs had an equal number of casualties, yet the Muslim lobbyists in the United States were more powerful. According to some Serbs, Bosniaks stole the bodies of Serbs and buried them in their own graveyards in order to exaggerate the number of casualties reported.
