As you can see from the graph, it shows that one line(Atmospheric Concentrations) starts off steady and then goes up rapidly over the later years. However the Anthropogenic Emissions line rapidly increased and formed a steep line. The reason for is because CO2 level increased by pollution getting into the atmosphere from cars and factories benig introduced. Plus the industrial revolution started in the 1950s which means that the CO2 level starts should be up all of a sudden.

Throughout winter, carbon dioxide levels decrease due to the the fact that there are less trees therefore a reduced amount of leaves to produce co2. However, the graph increases in carbon dioxide more than it decrease as humans are producing more than what is decreasing.

The graph shows that the average temperature in the UK, the US and in space was under average up until 1940. The temperature had then dipped up until 1950. This decrease was approximately -0.2 degrees celcius. The temperature of all three places then began to increase rapidly. Specifically the increase in space was around 0.6 degrees celcius above the average temperature, next the graph shows that the UK’s and the US’ temperature both stoppped increasing at 0.5 degrees celcius. I think that this could have been because of the increase in the burning of fossil fuels. This means that polluting greenhouse gasses are being released into the atmosphere, For example CO2. These gasses will rise up into the air and intensify the layer of gasses surrounding the earth. The impact of this would be that heat from the sun will not be able to reflect back into space, it will be stuck closer to earth. Consequently this will cause climate change. I think the data on the graph is very reliable as there are no evident anomalies. This indicates that all of the information displayed was based on scientific records which are not influenced by opinion. So the information on climate change is not biased.

The CO2 levels rise each year in the Mauna Loa Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide Concentration. However it doesn’t go up in a flowing pattern. You can clearly see that the CO2 levels are rising in a zigzag increasing line. This is because the seasonal changes on Earth have an impact on the CO2 levels. In winter, Carbon dioxide levels are higher, this isn’t because there is most trees don’t have leaves to absorb the CO2 in the air. If we continue with deforestation, the amounts of CO2 will rise because the lack of the lack of leaves. From the graph, we can see the amount of CO2 is increasing. This may be due to us cutting down trees. From looking at the data, I believe that humans cause the most CO2 by burning fossil fuels and cutting down trees.

The CO2 in the atmosphere has steadily increased over the years. After 1850, when humans started producing CO2 from burning fuels in the industrial revolution, the rate at which the atmospheric concentration of CO2 also began to increase to the point where around 1950, the two were very rapid. This would be because ever since we discovered fuels, we have needed to burn more and more to keep up with demand. From this data, I think that humans are a direct cause of increasing the rate of global warming.

Throughout thousands of years there has been a clear connection between the amount of CO2 in the air and the temperature. As the CO2 goes up so does the temperature. This has been happening naturally for thousands of years but when humans started using fossil fuels the CO2 went up rapidly, this suggests that humans are to blame for the sudden change in the amount of CO2 in the air
