Dear Aden
My father was a carpenter and I grew up in his workshop as a child. However I do not wish to make standard conventional objects for a living; I'm interested in the more flamboyant side of the arts.
I am currently completing a Foundation Art and Design Studies (UAL)(Level 4 Diploma) Course at South Essex College, Southend where I am majoring in photography to enable me to more professionally photograph my work and market myself better.

I am looking to do scenic construction and would like to come and visit your workshop with a view to working with you on a voluntary basis (even if its making teas and coffees!) your work is so beautifully crafted and to such a high standard, one of my favourites being the hitchhikers space pod, I would be humbled to be able to work along side you and your team.
I do have 2 questions about your business: 1) How often do you receive a commission? 2) How stable would you say this industry is job wise?
I am based in Brentwood and am available from 19th june onwards. I look forward to hearing from you.

family friends with owners and my uncle works here

they have unofficially offered me an apprenticeship however if i do go here i will most likely do it as work experiance as i do not want to get stuck in this business
