The book Kobe is very interesting and covers his entire life. It goes from his childhood dream of becoming an NBA player to how he worked hard to achieve it to once he got there what he did to keep going. I would definitely recommend it. The words and sentences are rather easy.

Les Trois Amis is about three friends, Marissa and Jack are friends, and Marissa and Julien are dating. But Jack and Julien soon realize they have feelings for each other and start dating. Marissa feels conflicted and betrayed in the meantime. The plot is somewhat complicated at times, but the words are simple, so if you pay attention, it is easy to follow. The story is quite interesting to read as well.

I would say this graphic novel was fairly easy, and if you didn't understand the words you could understand the pictures.

Un Voyage Difficile is told from 2 different perspectives. The wife and the Husbands. Together they have 3 children, and are really struggling for money. Because of this struggle, the husband decides he is going to go and work in Florida. It is a long and difficult journey, and while he travels, his wife faces problems with their kids back home. This is a great story that shows the struggle they face due to poverty. It had a few new words but most words were obvious from the context clues. Overall it was a very good book.

This book is about a boy named Stéphane who was a very curious boy. Stéphane had been hearing a lot about how the Louvre was haunted. So he decided to see for himself. Stéphane and one of his friends went to the Louvre before closing time, But the Louvre has a strict rule NO PHONES! But Stéphane and his friend snuck in their phones. Stéphane and his friend went from bathroom to bathroom until it was closing time they stayed in the Louvre to see if the Louvre really was haunted then he saw a figure. He thought he saw it, he turned to look at his friend and he was gone.... A couple Minutes later Stephane saw the figure again this time he really wanted to see who it was he stayed still then he heard "HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE AFTER HOURS?!" Said the figure when thee figure came closer he realized that that was a guard and nothing scary. So at the end of the book the Louvre was not haunted it was all fake.

L'ile Au Tresor follows a boy named Daniel who spends his summer in Canada for his dad's work every year. Every year it is boring so Daniel is not looking forward to going. When Daniel gets to Canada he goes in the attic of the house and looks for his baseball glove. He finds his glove but he also finds a mysterious treasure map. Daniel searches the library and even brings the map to his Grandfather to figure it out. I definitely recommend this book as it was very interesting.

This is a book about a girl (Sarah) and her daily life. She lives with her mother and stepfather. Her real father is in jail for a fatal car accident that he was in, killing an innocent woman by accident. Sarah's Bat Mitzvah is coming up, a nd she is curious about her father. She is determined to make a connection with him. She feels that he isn't a bad person at all and is in jail because of bad fate. She asks her mother, who gives her his contact information at the jail. From then on, they correspond via letters like pen pals. She talks and vents about her troubling school life and problems, whilst her dad has something to look forward to. They slowly built a bond and decided that they should meet up. He notices that for her Bat Mitzvah, she wants something expensive and is determined to get it for her when they meet. -- I won't spoil the rest, but this book is pretty good and gives a good plot and story. But the buildup was extremely long.

La reponse is about 2 friends, Naomie and Mia, who are best friends. It's about their bond, and they want to get into special colleges. They both have problems and help each other with them. I liked reading La reponse and would recommend it because it has a good plot and is a very feel-good type of book.

Les Trois Amis is about 3 friends; Marissa, Jack and Julien. Jack is Marissa's best friend and Julien is Marissa's boyfriend. Jack and Julien develop feelings for each other and soon start dating, leaving Marissa feeling confused and betrayed. I enjoyed Les Trois Amis and the story was quite entertaining although the plot was a bit complicated. There were occasionally words that I didn't recognize but I just looked them up in the back of the book.

Danger sur le Tour de France is an engaging story about two friends, Caroline and Patrick, who uncover a hidden plot during the Tour de France. They thought they would just be watching the famed cycling event, but they ended up witnessing some crimes! So, they set out to save the integrity of the event, facing off against corrupt security and mysterious strangers.

I liked reading Danger sur le Tour de France because it was interesting and it sprinkled in a lot of information about the Tour de France that I didn't know before. There was some new vocab, but it was still very comprehensible. I would definitely recommend this book to others!

The family is really struggling financially, so Jamil decides to make a dangerous and illegal boat journey to the US, where he has a connection in Florida, to find work. He meets various people on the way, all seeking to make a better life for themselves in the US. While Jamil is gone, his kids and wife miss him, and Noémie ends up in the hospital from stomach pain. Her community and children help her a lot. The book is about immigrants, poverty, and family.

Le Château de Chambord follows a boy named Jean, who learns that he has inherited the Chambord castle and chocolate company from his grandfather who recently passed away. He finds a letter from his grandfather saying that he must find three objects and five clues hidden in Chambord castle. Once he finds them, he will understand the importance of his grandfather's chocolate company and his life will be changed. Jean is angry at his mom, who kept all this information about his grandfather from him. She wants him to sell the company and focus on school, while he wants to keep the company.

It's a pretty good book overall, but it kind of goes around in circles. The ending was also a bit unsatisfying.

Le Château de Chambord is a story written by Theresa Marrama about a boy named Jean and his mother. After receiving a letter from their late grandfather, they learn about and follow the clues to attempt to find the famous chocolate recipe they inherited. Along their journey, a man named Monsieur Gauthier stops by, saying he has forgotten his hat in the library. It is later revealed that he worked with Jean's grandfather until "tensions" arose. Monsieur Gauthier was searching for the recipe himself, but was unsuccessful. Eventually, Jean found a secret tunnel, which led to a vault with a letter from his grandfather. The letter says that Monsieur Gauthier was going to hurt Jean's family unless he got the recipe, so Jean's grandfather hid the recipe and pretended it was lost. The book ends with Jean and his mother reflecting on the letter and His grandfather. I thought the book was a decent read, and I would recommend it, as it had a nice plot twist.

This book is about a girl who moves into a haunted house. When the girl got to the house she thought it was strange and gave her the chills. She had scary encounters throughout the book that kept you wanting to read more. It's thrilling and scary. It's a great simple book if you like horror.

This book is also a part of the trilogy and this is the second book. This book is also based off of a real event that had happened. I would recommend this book because it provided new information but I would still be able to piece together the sentences. The plot is also engaging and interesting.

Un Secret de Famille is about a teenage girl named Ava who is sent to live with her aunt in New York. She is from Quebec, Canada and doesn't understand why she suddenly has to change school and live in New York. She feels lonely because she thinks her mom is ignoring her and sending her away. Ava is too young to understand why her mother needs time alone, but throughout the book develops the understanding of patience and trust. This book was very easy and had a good plot, but was sometimes repetitive. I would overall recommend it.

This is a graphic novel about the love story of 2 different people and it also includes how friends are always there for each other and how they are there to give advice and help out. This book also provides great knowledge about the struggles of quarantine and how we had to stay home and couldn't leave the house.So if you like dramatic,interesting,books that will leave you on the edge of your seat you would love this book. It was quite an easy read and I HIGHLY recommend.

This is a graphic novel about two teenagers becoming friends and falling in love through covid. The characters are a girl named June and a trans boy named Micha. This was a very good book with more informal words/language in it. It was a little bit harder because of the new vocabulary and lack of a glossary but was overall a very good book.

Maria Maria is a story about a girl named Lea living in Guadeloupe who has to survive Hurricane Maria. It's a harrowing narrative about family and resilience through tough times.

The book wasn't hard to read, but there were some new vocabulary words that I learned. There were also some cultural aspects about Guadeloupe that were shown in the story.

In this book, we get to learn about Kobe's life and how he rose to where he is now. We learn about his time in Italy, struggling, the first league that he was in, and how he navigated becoming a basketball player. This book was also easy to understand and is definitely one of the more chill books. If you like learning about different people who lived or like sports, I highly recommend this book for you to read.

Alice La Liste is an interesting book with an easy to follow plot, it is about a girl named Alice who is moving so she comes up with a bucket list to complete before she goes. It is pretty interesting and is also dialouge heavy which is great as it uses lots of vocab words in conversation and in different contexts.

Camille: Le Studio de Danse is about a girl named Camille who is a dancer and her best friend and dance teacher are moving away. She also hates how to succeed in dance, you need to be skinny to be graceful. The book wasn't too hard to read and the plot was good. I definetly learned new phrases and vocab. I would reccommend this book to a friend and it is also the last book in a trilogy
