It was the most important part because it was the turning part in the book. When Jhonny killed Bob their life changed. It brought up many more struggles for the characters to go through.
The most frustrating part of the book is when Jhonny and Ponyboy left for the church. They should have went to the cops because Jhonny only killed Bob in self defense. If they would have stayed Jhonny and Dally might not have died.
