It was an intentional effort to pause and appreciate the simplicity of these gestures, for they hold the power to ease and inspire even amidst the city's relentless tempo. My aim was to encapsulate the beauty of these small gestures within the tapestry of the urban landscape. Love manifests itself in various forms, encompassing city decor, street art, and, undoubtedly, the people who inhabit the city. In our modern society, there is a pervasive addiction to using photography as a means to validate reality and enhance our experiences. This compulsion drives people to photograph every aspect of their lives, turning personal encounters into a mere way of seeing and transforming public events into captured images. It has reached a point where it seems that everything exists solely for the purpose of being captured in a photograph (Sontag). Upon reflection, I acknowledge my own participation in modern-day photography culture. Capturing street art and intimate moments can be seen as indulgent and predatory. Inspired by Sontag's thoughts on the predatory camera, my photo essay seeks to strike a balance between photography participation and cherishing genuine human experiences. I aim to be mindful of subjects, highlighting the beauty and significance of human experiences.
