We've arrived at a point in history when we must do more than tolerate one another. One of the reasons why cultural relativism is so essential for everyone is that it allows us to be more inclusive and well-rounded in our interactions with other people. We must create a worldwide community that promotes mutual understanding, learning, and development. One of the most effective methods for us to learn from each other and learn more about ourselves is to understand other people and their cultures. Culture refers to a community's common language, as well as the festivals observed and the religion followed. It's the recipes that are handed down down the years, as well as the methods we interact with one another. We may embrace diversity and rethink outdated ideas by cultivating a good, tolerant, and culturally varied society. We consider what we consider to be normal or odd, such as eating a bagel on the way to the Metro, and we push ourselves to view the world in new ways. By learning and comprehending different cultures, we learn an essential lesson: we have nothing to gain by passing judgment on something or someone we don't know.

Bermillo - Cultural relativism is the idea that a person's beliefs and practices should be understood based on that person's own culture. It means that there are no wrong cultures, we should see different cultures as unique and has a reason on why it became a culture.

There is a need to understand cultural relativism in our society because understanding this means that we get to know how to instill or practice respecting other forms of culture. It's not new knowledge for us that there is a variety when it comes to culture, but unfortunately, the knowledge of how to properly respect these cultures is not familiar to us, as well. By understanding cultural relativism, however, we will know how to not shade the other cultures in a bad light and respect them the way that they should be. We are able to differentiate and compare cultures without disrespecting them in the process.
