As you can tell, Violet kept her beliefs to herself when speaking with Mrs.Renwick. Also , in the text it said that Mrs Renwick believed that females shouldn't become doctors but Violet suggested to herself still that females could do anything that men can do. Based on what I read Violets was irritated when Mrs. Renwick said "It's a revolting thing for a female to do, becoming a doctor. According to the text it says Violet felt deflated. She flopped back on the prickly green train seat even though she could hear mother in her head scolding that a lady doesn,t ever let her   back touch the back of the chair . Also the text says that  Chloe said that girls could be whatever they wanted to be.
