Ghenet - you've managed to accomplish something so few can. Identifying a dream and passion, setting yourself goals and crushing them to the point where you are able to pursue writing full time. AND you're about to hit the big screen. So impressive. I look forward to seeing what else you have in store. Also, make sure to come back each year to check in and allow us access to Girl Scout cookies!

Ghenet! I'm so excited for you to take this next step in your career as a writer! You've made it. It's the stuff of legends.

I've really enjoyed our chats and talking about our experiences with having young daughters. I loved From the Desk of Zoe Washington. My standard for judging any medium of art is does it make me feel something and does it think about it the next day. Your book made do both many times. It prompted some hard conversations with Tallulah, and I'm grateful for that.

Congratulations on crossing this threshold. I'll be eagerly waiting for our next work.

GHENET! This is one of my favorite photos. There's Luna looking on as her Mother signs a book for an adoring fan. Something which she'll need to get accustomed to. There's one of my dearest friends filled with inspiration to write after learning more about your process. Then there's you exuding the quiet power that has made you a best-selling author.

Some might say that you made writing a book while working and being a first-time Mother look easy. I say you simply made those things look achievable. You had goals. You made a plan. You did the darn thing! Correction: You are DOING the darn thing.
