Something exciting to me right now is participating in Pretend it's Pretend. I am co-stage managing this show, my first college production. Going to rehearsals daily and seeing the show go from the design stages in the fall to staging it now is so exciting. I love that I can see the product go from start to finish, and all the growth that comes to the show during this time!

Parents

My parents have been some of my biggest influences into going into a creative role. They have been my biggest support system. I have always known that I have been more creative, and that I did not want to go into a traditional 9-5 workplace, and they gave me the opportunity to try anything.

High School Directors

My high school director actually recommended for me to try stage managing going into my senior year of high school, and while that was one of the most challenging years for me, I found a love for it. I would have never even into this role if it was not for her. Both of my directors were always so welcoming and really inspired me to go into theatre.

Zendaya

Zendaya has had a huge part in influencing me in so many things. She really shows me that I can do multiple things. Not only does she act, but she also produces, directs, models, sings, dance, etc. She shows me that I can have many passions and interests and participate in all of them

The Addams Family

This was the first show I was head stage manager on, and getting to call this show was probably one of my most favorite experiences. While this show did not come without its challenges, getting to see every single aspect go from start to finish and being involved in it, was so fulfilling.

You on the Moors Now

This was probably one of the hardest and most toxic shows I have worked on, but I learned so much from it. I learned how to speak up for myself, what my boundaries were, how to deal with a difficult director, and so much more. While this show ruined the state of my mental health while in it, I am grateful that I now know how to get through similar situations in the future and advocate for myself.

The Little Mermaid

Classes

My classes inspire me because I am fully getting graded on things I enjoy learning. I never enjoyed school before college, and now that I am doing what I love, I am having the best time learning everything about it. I love that I have the openness to try out so many different things, and learn so much as a collaborator in a theatrical workspace.

Hadestown

One of my inspirations is Hadestown. I loved everything about this show, but I loved most of all how the ensemble was so integral and involved in the show.

Adaptability

Adaptability is an important value for me because I want to learn to grow and change, even if something does not go the way I thought it would. Being adaptable is so important while working in a collaborative setting because you are getting input from so many people.

Creativity

Being creative is very important to me. Whether it's through dance, singing, music, theatre, etc. I have always made this a priority in my life. I try to incorporate it into as much of my life as possible. It is something I value very much.

Improvement

Improvement is very important to me because it is something I will always be able to do. There is room for improvement in every situation I encounter. Knowing that I can get better and improve in areas I am not good at motivates me to excel.

Dependability

Being dependable is important to me because I want people to know they can count on me to be on time, do my best at something, finish the job and even do what's right when no one is watching. I want to be able to earn others' trust, and for them to know I am reliable.

Halsey

Halsey, while not being within the theatre realm, influences me to be a better activist. She is very large in the media, but speaks her and does not care who she will offend.

Going to Church

I was raised by a pastor, so going to church multiple times a week and volunteering in literally everything was how I grew up. My religion is very important to me and keeps me grounded when life's problems arise.

Childhood TV Shows

Going back and binge watching TV shows I used to love is probably one of the main ways I escape reality. It transports to me to a time where I had such few worries. Even if that feeling is temporary, it really helps me unwind from stressful situations.

Music

Music is probably one of the biggest factors in my life, I don't think I could go a day without it. I listen to music no matter how I am feeling. It helps me think creatively, calms my mind, energizes me, and really just can match my vibes no matter what.

Quality Time

Taking time to spend with my friends and family, is probably something I cherish the most. It helps me get back into the groove of my work, helps me deal with stress, and overall is just very calming for me. I love doing anything with the people I care about. I have spent countless hours just sitting it the car talking to my friends. These are some of my favorite memories.
