Richard, the main character, finds a large wooden box in the attic, once he sees it he can’t stop thinking about what's inside. Richard finds some letters in Mary’s attic she wrote to her deceased daughter. When Mary is on her deathbed she reminds Richard the greatest gift is a parents love for their child.
