My dist has a specialized view due to our situation. It has been such a help to have staff in each building who are familiar to students. I welcome learning from others.

There was great wording shared. I appreciate hearing the mentor role described as 'advocate' and 'collaborative' in addition to expectations that we will be assessors.

The stances remind me we are on an extended journey toward autonomy for the apprentice. It gives me a tool for thinking about how I can support her through my actions and choices. The language frames will help remind me to listen actively. The protocol/log will help me in professionalism and to keep our reflections productive.

By the end of the meeting there is something for both mentor and mentee to work on (next steps). It helps mentors to guide the conversation instead of always leading.
