In 4th grade, my teacher told my class a quote close to this everyday to remind us that while we're learning, it's okay to not understand and to practice so we can progress. She also said if you think that practicing will make you be perfect at it, you're wrong. If you practice, it will help you to advance and get better and better at it.

My theme goes along with this example because my teacher kept saying it everyday to remind us. When you practice something, it can help you get better at it but no one is perfect at anything.

Now that I'm older, I still think about this when I have homework or I'm practicing something. It always comes to my mind that I'm doing it to advance my skill level rather than perfecting it. I can be good at something but will never be perfect at it.

My theme goes along with this example because as I'm practicing, I'm reminding myself that I'm doing it so I can get better at it not be perfect at it. When practicing, you can't just tell yourself that if you get them all right then you're perfect at it, because the next day you could maybe skip a step and get it wrong. Your doing the practice to advance in your skill level, not be the most perfect at it.
