I am trying to work on my head angles and eye line to fit the vibe of the choreography and my artistry whilst remaining technical and clean with strong arm extension and leg extension and clean turns through transitions.

As an open minded and strong performer I feel I have a chance and more opportunities than others as I will dive into the musical theatre world the hip-hop world the commercial world and TV work to give myself the best chance as a career also I am looking into having a long career of teaching as that is something I'm passionate about on want to give back to others. As a Performer it's important that you also create opportunity for yourself so communicating networking and getting to know teachers and choreographers introducing yourself is the best way to create an opportunity for yourself as sometimes well a lot of times in the industry it's who you know and not always an audition or if you're the right type for the job a lot of choreographers will pick their friends so you have to know and learn how to create the opportunity and work for yourself.

As an individual my strengths are my resilience, patience and drive to persevere and stubbornness. However I use stubbornness to my advantage as I do understand that as a Performer I need to let go mentally so physically I can have a bigger and better impact on my performance. My resilience and work ethic I pride myself on and being open to whatever the choreography or job role is to complete it to the best of my ability. Keeping good appearance and work ethic is half of what it takes personally to me to be the best performing artist I can be. If I look and feel good I will dance and perform better. As an artist I am open to different genres and different Dynamics and be open so my body can move differently than how I've been used to even when training for years in a different genre. For example my comfort zone is jazz but I'm open and enjoying the hip-hop world and their fusion such as popping locking and breaking as I understand a versatile dancer gives me more opportunity and more chance of being hired. In terms of the dance industry cruise ships and theatre work i would adhere to more rather than the commercial/ TV world as stage is more theatrical and light hearted compared to the sexualised world of commerical.

As an artist and performer one of my strongest weaknesses is fatigue and mental tiredness. I struggle to up keep my performance and resilience and strength when mentally and physically my body is tired and I need to rest. It affects my motivation and work ethic as I don't have the same strength as when I'm fully energised and motivated. I understand as a Performer we have to know when our bodies need rest and when our minds need rest but sometimes if you're on a job and you're mentally and physically tired but you have a job to do that can be a real battle so I need to learn how to push through it and when to give my body the rest so it doesn't affect my job. also injuries can affect me as a weakness as if I'm trying to rehearse and work through choreography and I have a constant pain for example I suffer with back problems and my upper back that can affect my learning as I'm concentrating and distracted by the pain therefore it means you lack progression and you missed opportunities to be in pieces or to be participating in other events. In terms of the industry I have less confidence and experience in the commercial world as it doesn't sit naturally within me to dance using my sexuality. Despite being a young adult I still feel uncomfortable and vulnerable moving in a way that can seem provocative and sexualised.

THREATS

Potential threat to me is injury as injury can really affect me mentally and physically and I have struggled through my 3 years of training to push through injury sometimes although you need to rest and no when to rest an injury you risk losing training time and potential knowledge so going into the industry I really need to be mindful and look after myself so I don't cause further injury that can affect my career. Another threat for me can be motivation and discipline. I now have to be my own boss and alarm and tell myself to get things done in order to make a living for myself. Another potential threat is having the wrong attitude and knowing that it is just a bad day and not a bad life. It is an industry where it is very easy to give up and you can leave to try another path any day.

In my ballet work I am working on my artistry through my neckline and focus following my hand as I go through Port de bra and ground plies so I look at my performance and in my Center as I work on my eyelined rather than focusing on my balance or control. Ballet always been harder for me as it uses every muscle in my body and engages them in a different way it lengthen things my torso and uses my upper back which causes me injury sometimes as I overuse my rhomboid in my shoulder and when I am in retiring or holding the weight in one leg my knee tends to click which never used to before so I'm really trying to maintain my fizzy and look after my body meanwhile pushing myself to the highest standard I can I'm maintaining my ballet strength.
