One take away is having different perspectives of the world. As many of the astronauts stated, Earth is very different when you're looking at it from the overview. Everything is zoomed out and you can see lights of the cities, different weather storms...Another takeaway is how beautiful yet fragile Earth can be. Just think how thin the atmosphere looks from space. The third takeaway is how we have to work as a team to bounce into the future together.  


2) What is the Overview Effect?
The Overview effect is the view the astronaut gets when she/he looks down at Earth. Earth is so different when you're on Earth but more when you're seeing Earth as a whole. You see many different views that you don't see when you're inside.

Earth is like a spaceship because the spaceship crew works together and The life beings on Earth works together too. Everyone on board has a role and that is the same with Earth. Every individual has meaning.

Yes and no, When humans are extinct, Earth will grow back it's nutrients and maybe things it had before humans came. No while the humans are living because we are eating up our resources more and more. No. Eventually, all the resources would run out. All the plants would either be used or be dead. Without plants, animals are going to starve and have no oxygen. One takeaway that I found was that when you look at the earth, you can see the amazing change overtime. Another takeaway is that you sometimes have to think of the earth in a different way than if you are littering because if you don't treat the earth well, then the earth would no longer exist and you would die. The last takeaway that I got from this video is even though you don't look at it this way all the time, but earth is a very important feature to have in your life because it provides you living space, family, and other things.

5. Will Earth always be able to provide what we need to survive?
If keep this pollution and deforestation up, the earth will not be able to provide what we need to survive eventually. The thing that is preventing it is us humans. We are preventing it from providing because our population is getting larger and larger. Us humans are cutting down trees, using too much water and oil, and killing too many animals.

There are big categories of things that we need to survive. The first big too categories are food and water. Two of the most important things that we need.
