Today my class and mrs.Cossu are going to see the sun-dials
that there are in our city. All the sun-dials was composed by 12 hours because
in the night there isn't the sun and was willing in counderclockwis because the
sun born in est and died in west. The hour of Alghero is different to the hour
of Rome but Italy use as reference this latter.

▪The first sun-dials was made in granite and was
perpendicular to the sun. The numbers was romans and the fractions hours was
divide in 30 minutes. It was made in 2005.

▪The second was made in ardesia and the numbers was arabics.
It was made in 1866.

▪The third was a country sun-dials, was made in limestone and
the structure was very simple.

Eclipse and Super Blood Moon...

The night into Sunday and Monday was verified a special

event. There were a plain moon at the minimal distance to the world and was 'red' at the same time. It was a very special combination! I was in my window with my special camera to see these special eclipse and I was too exited I didn't fall asleep that night!!

Today my class and mrs Cossu are going to do a experiment about the density of the liquid in the chemistry laboratory. We had some tubes and a lot of liquids and we had to detect which one was miscible or not miscible. These are Giorgia's and mine tube. We have loved this experiment!

Omogeneous or Eterogeneous mixtures ?

Today we are going to do two experiments about solutions and mixtures. At first we have shuffled coal, salt, topsoil, detergent, alcool and oil. We have understand that coal is omogeneous solution, but topsoil is eterogeneous with all solutions. Salt and water is a omogeneus solution also if you add coal. If you add oil, it makes all the solutions heterogeneus ones. The second experiment was separated the colors that make the final color of pen and markers. The end of the experiments was this!! ⤵

Today we have got a science lesson in english. It was very interesting and I was too happy to speak in English with my teacher and learn a subject in a language different to my abitual. 🔝

HEATING & COOLING CURVES!

Today we have experience about the curves of heating and cooling. We had 2 bechers and inside theme, there were ice in one and water in the other.

▪at first we have put the becher with the ice on a hotplate and we have relevated the temerature and it was 0°C since all the ice is became water.

▪After, we have put the becher with the water on a hotplate and the temperature of the water is rose up until 100°C the boling temperature of the water.

▪Later we have lear how to separate the compoments of a mixture with the bootlegger. First you must to boil the mixture, after, the steam that produces, passes inside the cooling tube and the drops that fall inside a ball in the end of bootleger there will be the pure substance!

How would be if....?

On 16 March we are going to the laboratory to verify experimentaly what would change if the Earth's axis would be: perpendicular, parallel and oblique.
▪If it would be perpendicular, during the year there wouldn't be climate change and so there wouldn't be seasons. At the equator we would have the maximum exposition and at the poles it would be always at the horizon. There would be always 12 hours of light and 12 of night.
▪If the axis would be parallel to the orbit plan a part of the Earth would be always lighted and the other always dark.
▪If it would be oblique like it is now there would be 12 hours of light an the same hours of dark and there would be seasons. A half is always lighted and the other half is always dark.

The ... we are going to have a fabulous school trip in Porto Conte park where we tried to orienteering ourselves. I've loved so much this activity.
