Marie Curie had two daughters. <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="reflink" href="https://kids.britannica.com/students/article/Ir%C3%A8ne-Joliot-Curie/327718">Irène Curie</a> was the elder daughter of Pierre and Marie. The younger daughter's name is Ève Curie.</p>]]></description>

In 1911, she got awarded the Nobel prize in chemistry. Marie Curie is still the only person that has earned the Nobel prize in 2 different sciences. In 1914, during world war 1, she invented mobile x-ray units that could be sent to hospitals in France.</p>]]></description>

On July 4, 1934, Marie Curie died of a disease caused by radiation. But by that time, Marie Curie had given strength to all woman and even to this day, she continues to inspire scientists to help others with their discoveries and findings.</p>]]></description>
