         <title>July 1995 - Srebrenica Massacre</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>General Ratko Mladic led the Serb forces to the Bosnian city of Srebrenica and began killing and displacing any person they saw. The Bosnian defense was so weak that the Serbs went through it in a day. The massacre went on for four days, and around 8,000 men died, and many women were victims of sexual violence. Mladic also expelled around 25,000 women and children from Srebrenica. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The UN passed resolution 827, founding the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in the Hague, Netherlands, even before the Srebrenica Massacre, but after reports of the siege of Sarajevo. It was founded to punish the perpetrators of the genocides in Yugoslavia, and it also gave the survivors of the genocides a chance to tell their side of the story  and what happened to their families.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Slobodan Milosevic was charged with 66 war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide. He plead not guilty to all 66 and was put in jail. He was found dead in his cell in  2006 in The Hague, far before his trial was expected to end.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Ratko Mladic started his trial 2012 after avoiding arrest for over 10 years. He faced 11 charges, with 2 counts of genocide (siege of Sarajevo and Srebrenica Massacre), and he plead not guilty to all of them. He had not finished his trial at the time this article was written, but it is hard to imagine he won't get a very harsh sentence. </div>]]></description>
