Moreover, they should not be afraid of making mistakes, they should be aware of that making mistakes is not something bad. Instead, making mistakes can be helpful to learn better. That's why I should teach my students how to learn from their mistakes. I should make my students feel safe and comfortable while learning because if a student do not feel comfortable and safe in the learning area, this could lead this student have anxiety which would make learning more difficult because this student would not want to join the lesson.

I also like it when she wrote +2 and a big smiling face to the paper of a child who made 18 of the questions wrong. Even the student suprised why she put a smiling face to the paper. And she said " You didn't make all of them wrong. Won't you do better?" and the kid said "Yes, I can." .With that she helped the kid trust himself to do better. She could just write F to his paper but she didn't because she is a teacher who supports and loves her students.

Not every teacher likes children. She said there was this teacher who says "They pay me to teach them, not to love them.". A teacher who thinks like that cannot grow a healthy relation with the students.

Also Rita Pierson said " Children do not listen they do not like.". If the teacher don't like them, then the students do not like their teachers. And this would lead an unwilling learning environment which is not so much of a learning.

She also talked about her own mother. Her mother was a so good teacher that in her funeral there were many of her students who says she changed their lives. And Rita says about the students who came to the funeral " They were there not because she was gone, just because she left a legacy of relationship." So if a teacher can have a bond that can change students' lives with his/her students can be an unforgottable teacher. And for me this is the most important thing that a teacher can have.

I also mentioned how we should teach English. There are many non-native speakers. So I said we should emrace different accents of English. We should let our students know varities of English, not like when in the past we were taught there were British English and American English. We also should teach them that mistakes are not something they should be afraid of. We should teach them to learn from their mistakes.

One another topic I discussed was the challange of equal access to English Education. Not eveybody has the same opportunities. And that's why we should find a way that both a student living in a big city and a student living a small town can have the same access to learn English.

Overall, English should be a tool for connecting people, not just a language!

As I mentioned in the video, when I first started learning English, I thought native speakers are better in teaching English. I mean, when someone grows up speaking one language as a mother tongue, he or she is supposed to be way better than I am. That was what I thought.

But when I got engaged more with English, I started to realize not every native speaker is the best.

Even today some people still think natives are better at English. This is because of the idea called "native speakerism", which is the belief that native speakers are always better in ways of both speaking and teaching.

Also, being a native speaker in a language doesn't mean that a person can be a great teacher. Teaching a language and speaking it are two very different things. Sometimes, some native speakers have problems with explaining grammar rules. Because they do not learn it as we do, they just know it. I mentioned in the video that I met a British guy in Romania and his English was not the best English even though he is British.

But of course, native-speaking teachers have advantages. They can teach easier the language with more natural pronunciation, slangs and cultural aspects.

So what we need to do is take a look at what both native and non-native speaking teachers bring to the table. We shouldn't ignore one of them. We should hire teachers according to their skills, not their nationality.

We should look at what really matters: how good they are at teaching.
