Description: we had our first practice presentation in class that looked into the impact of social media on education. Our group comprised four members, including myself, and our production lasted just over 14 minutes.

Feelings: My feelings during the presentation were all over the place. I started feeling completely fine, but as the presentation went on and it came closer to my turn, I got more nervous. During my turn, I was stuttering, which made me feel unprepared after completing my part.

Evaluation: Overall, I had a decent first presentation; it was a beneficial learning experience as it helped me outline my strengths and weaknesses. I came into the presentation feeling nervous, but I was confident in terms of the knowledge and content I had acquired. When I was presenting, I thought I was reading off the board too much, and I kept struggling to formulate my sentences in a way that made sense in relation to the content I was presenting, which was an easy way for me to tell that I should have run through the presentation a couple more times. even after I finished there was a lot of stuff I missed out on saying, mainly because i didn't add structure to my part of the presentation, this led to me trying to jump into parts of my friend's presentations to try to get some good points out but the timing was off and i thought it would be unfair to my team members for me to jump in on their parts therefore i wasn't able to get the points out.

Analysis: overall I think the presentation didn't go very well, our group struggled with maintaining the flow of the presentation, we were also un synchronized which led to a messy overall presentation. personally I think the fact we didn't practice showed as a lot of things I was saying sounded out of place, I also lacked coordination as I was struggling with realizing when I should speak and when I shouldn't therefore making the presentation even harder for my group.

Conclusion: This presentation taught me a lot. It helped me understand my weaknesses and shortcomings. I also grasped that it was very important for me to put in more effort during my next upcoming presentations and practice more with my group and individually to make sure everything runs smoothly during the presentation. it was also important for me to use this time to understand what made a good presentation through research i conducted.

Action Plan: For future presentations, I plan on making sure I have practiced more, as this would overall help me out a lot as practicing helps me notice if the presentation is about to run smoothly furthermore practice would give me confidence and help me know when to speak as that was a problem I struggled with during the presentation. To improve my presentational skills I read this article

Link: University of Sheffield (2022). How to improve your presentation skills.

Description: the Project I had to complete was a written essay analysing the economy of the United States of America, This essay was a very important as it accounted for 20% of my final grade.

Feelings: During this academic essay I was very confident as economics is a subject I have studied previously in school, I was easily able to grasp the task and understand what I was supposed to do, the only problem I had was this task was quite long in terms of length and in terms of the work load however I didn't let this affect my confidence

Evaluation : I came into this task feeling confident and prepared to get high marks, I remember finishing this task much before the deadline which was good as I was proud of myself for managing my time well, however I forgot to fix most of my grammar and spelling mistakes which ended up affecting my overall grade, there were also areas where I could have gone into more detail but didn't because of the world limit.

Analysis: I believe from this task I learned how important formatting in essays is, I missed out on a lot of marks because my essay didn't go into depth in some parts due to the word limit and I think that if I improved my organisational skills I would be able to focus more on going into depth in these parts I missed out. I think my confidence turned out to also be a bad sign for me as I assumed I knew what I was doing when the structure of my essay wasn't very focused and I ended up going into details about things that were pointless or didn't help my overall case.

Conclusion: Overall my essay I think went well, I was very strong with understanding concepts that were displayed in my essay as well as on the overall subject of economics and i think that was shown in my writing, however, i think my biggest limitation was being unable to go into further detail due to the word limit and my ability to format the essay in a way where i was able to get out all the information i needed to.

Action Plan:

If i were able to do this essay again i feel like i would take structuring my essay very seriously, i feel like because i was so confident i blinded myself by writing about things that weren't very helpful in analyzing the American economy, This showed me that for next time i should try be less over confident and just use my confidence to help me but not distract me.

Link:

Ellis, M.

Description: In December we had our first mock exams, these exams were set to give teachers an idea of how well students were doing so far along the year. These mock exams were also used to figure out where students were behind so that they can be helped so that they are successful in their future exams

Feelings: before this exam, I made sure to complete all the necessary preparations to receive high marks, during the exam I felt confident and I knew what I was doing as I had prepared diligently. The only part I was feeling unsure about during the exam was the website digie exam, I had never completed an exam on this platform so I felt uncomfortable using it however I quickly got the hang of it and was fine after that.

Evaluation: This examination for me personally went very well, it was my first exam ever in this format and as a mock exam it helped me show teachers I was able to cope with the subjects I was learning aswell as show me some of my weaknesses. My biggest weakness was my economics mock exam, i think my lack of practical work damaged my grade a little bit however i was able to answer theory questions with eaze

analysis: In the End i did well in all exams with my economics paper receiving the lowest grade out of the three, all my marks however were above the recommended grade for progression which was 60%. my lowest grade economics was around 71% which wasn't necessarily low but wasn't as high as i had wanted.

Conclusion: To summarize I believe this was a moment in my studys i was proud of as i had done a lot of prep work for these mocks to in sure my grades were high. Even though i did well in this exam i had a few key moments were i learned for my next exam i had to do more practice questions so i don't get thrown off in my other economics exams.

Action Plan: If i were to take this exam again or tell my self something a week before the exam, i would probably tell myself to go a little deeper into the content and make sure to do more practice questions so i could receive full marks on this exam.

Description: This month, we had coursework due for our business behaviours class. The coursework required you to pick a company and write a case study on the company. The company I picked was Rolls Royce Holdings.

Feelings: During this whole project, I was stressing out; I felt like I was lagging behind the whole time, and it always seemed like my classmates were one or two steps ahead of me. I wasn't planning my assignment out and I wasn't managing my time very well. I was focused on class work but I was also being lazy which made me feel nervous about this assignment.

Evaluation: this project was very long. The essay was supposed to be 1800 words plus graphs and tables and a bunch of other things that went into my appendices, as well as lots of references. I remember doing this assignment extremely last minute because I just managed my time in a very inefficient way. My organizational skills during this assignment were very bad, and so were my time management skills. regardless of this however i believe the quality of my work was high i just didn't enjoy the process i went through to complete the work, as it was a very stressful situation.

Analysis: Overall I think the assignment went well, I was happy with what I submitted regardless of my time management skills. However, i know for a fact that there was still a lot i could improve on this assignment and learn from it, the only issue was because of how much i procrastinated this assignment i didn't enjoy it at all, i usually tend to enjoy these research projects and i can't necessarily say that about this project. In the end i basically submitted a pretty rushed project and i know if i was able to manage my time well and spread out the workload i could have produced much better results.

Conclusion: This month i think was one of the months at university i struggled with the most, This assignment stressed me out a lot and it was really my fault, I've always had a issue with procrastination but this month it was worse than usual especially with this assignment, i feel like although my work was good enough there was a lot of room for improvement.

Action Plan: for future assignments its important I use my digital calender to spread out my workload over the period of time the assignment is due as I wouldn't enjoy leaving it until the last minute again. With my work being spread out it allows me to go into more detail and depth aswell as look at my work multiple times and make sure everything is to the standard I want it too.

Link:

Herrity, J.

Description: during the month of march we had to complete a group research project for our class skills for business which accounted for 40 % of our final grade, the research project looked at the effect of influencer marketing on young adults. this project was comprised of 2 parts one individual part which was a literature review and the other group project that required us to complete primary research.

Feeings: this was a very lengthy research project as it had a large workload as we were in groups of 3, i felt confident going into this assignment cause i had worked with my group before and we all knew we word work well together. I felt at some points i let my team down as i wasn't always keeping up with the work i had to do. However i was able to pull together and complete all my work on time.

Evaluation: This project was kind of harder for us than everyone else as we had a group member in a different class, this was obviously a choice I and my other team member made which in the end wasn't very worth it as i feel if we had more time together where all of us were working on the project we could have produced a higher quality of work

Analysis: In the end, I think our group did average, we haven't received our grades yet but between our group, there were a lot of fights about people not working or people not doing the work correctly, I obviously tried to say out of it as much as possible and do the work I was assigned. this situation was very bad for our groups communication as both of them would communicate with me but not each other and I was expected to give the third person the information which was a big weakness for our group.

Conclusion: In the end we ended up working through our problems, meeting the submission deadline was not going to happen but thankfully the whole class was given an extension, it also helped because I was traveling during the submission but I think after my group overcame all our problems we managed to produce submitable work. regarding the quality of our work however it was definitely not to our full potential

Action Plan: if i was to do this project again i belive i would make sure all my group members are in the same class and willing to complete all the work they were assigned. i feel like it was really stressful for us groupmembers that had to complete extra work when the work was due just because a groupmemeber forgot to or didn't finish their part.

Link:

Knight, R.

description: For this task we had to complete a presentation for skills for business to display our knowledge about presenting and thinking critically. Our presentation was sort of based on the show shark tank where you present a business idea to "investors" and we were graded based on the way we presented and how we showed our knowledge and understanding.

Feelings: This assignment I was very confident as I knew my strengths and weakenesses when it came down to presenting as we had completed multiple practice presentations through out the year. My partner was also someone I trusted could handle the workload and also knew their strengths and weaknesses

Evaluation: I think me and my partner approached this task very smartly as we divided the work in a way where we were both working at our strengths, this task didn't take us very long as we had already developed our idea and thought about it thoroughly. we also managed to practice a lot which smoothened out our presentation and showed us any problems we had, this also gave us confidence for when we would actually present to our teachers

analysis: To summarize this presentation went excellently for me and my group as we received the highest possible marks for this presentation. We were clear, concise and confident about our topic and our audience and we were able to answer all questions asked by the audience. Our presentation also covered everything it was supposed to cover in context to the assignment and I think everything just went well in this assignment

conclusion: this assignment was probably one of my favourite assignments to work on as working with others is a good strength of mine, as well as presenting, as we have practised presentations multiple times throughout the school year.

Action Plan: For future presentations I think the preparation and the way we split the workload was very good and I hope I am able to do this again with my other group members for the other presentations. we also have to be able to make sure we spread out the work load so that we can complete it on time and without being very stressed out in the last few days.
