He then went on to be a private security specialist, emergency response team, at the US Embassy in Kabul Afghanistan for many more years. Now he serves as a Texas State Trooper.

Crosby and Noah come from a heavy military family with many great uncles, uncles and grandparents who served - including 4 Great Grandfathers. These family members served in nearly every war our country has fought: WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq and Afghanistan. After enlisting, my US Navy experience began in January, 1966, when I began boot camp training at Great Lakes, Illinois.
I then attended training in Bainbridge, Maryland, studying data processing, or “Machine Accounting” as it was known then.
My first duty station was at the US Naval Supply Depot at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba from August 1966 to August 1967.  I was one of the operators for the base data processing equipment.  For fun I rode horses at the base corral and received my scuba diving certification with the Gitmo Reef Raiders.
In September, 1997, I was assigned to the US Navy Headquarters in London, England.  I primarily operated the USN computers.  By then my rank was E5 (second class petty officer).  I was one of only two enlisted men in London with the security clearance of SIOP-ESI (Single Integrated Operational Plan-Extremely Sensitive Information) necessary to process NATO fleet locations during the Vietnam War.
I received an honorable discharge and moved to Houston in January, 1970, with my British wife and our first son.
