The videos are really enriching as it states how incorrect is to think that by simply sharing a chat or a talk you are developing an idea. Sometimes ideas are not clear for the speaker so the information shared is just information but not and idea, it is just nonsense. It is just a group of chunks making a speech but not more than that.

It made me think on the importance to always have the idea clear and to share something to improve the listener's experience, to be able to interact and perceive what it is being expressed and shared. We are responsible on our acts and on the experience we can provide the other person. We can always learn and help others grow. Transferring ideas and receiving them leads to growth... Always. There is not a chance for you not to gain something.

The videos made me reflect upon the importance of several topics in order to develop a clear presentation, such as preparation, our posture and the communication with the audience. In this sense, the speech is under our control. Besides, the conveying of ideas are fundamental in order to teach something valuable to the listeners, an idea that is worth sharing and maybe we can leave a legacy due to the awaken of curiosity.

When I was watching the videos, I was thinking about my partners who were watching the videos at the same time as well, and my attention was completely focused on those videos. I could appreciate the information from them highlighting the topic and reflections that they provoked on me. The importance and the power of speaking towards others.

I have watched several TED talks throughout the years and I have always thought that people only talked about a meaningful experience they had that was so important for them that made them want to share it with others. Now that I have watched the videos I realized that they shared this experience in order to make it meaningful, to get closer to the audience and to catch their attention as many could feel the same way or experienced the same.

I particularly enjoyed the video that highlights the deeper meaning of public speaking. We, as teachers and students, are used to speaking in front of an audience all the time, but maybe are not really aware of the impact it has on others. Each small idea, piece of information or personal comment turns into valuable knowledge for the audience. Even non-verbal aspects such as posture, physicality, the environment (is it too serious?... Is it relaxed?) all of that shapes the experience. The awareness of public speaking is a fundamental part of a presentation.

I found all the videos captivating. Realizing all the aspects that make communication work effectively is mind-blowing. In particular, I want to highlight the videos related to TED talks. That 'spare' thing is a term that I have never heard before, but it makes so much sense now. Taking into account that I have admired TED talks for so long, it is surprising to have a word to name the feeling that I have after listening to those orators. It is wonderful to analyse the transfer of ideas into speech, apart from the formal organisation of a speech of this kind. Also, I will not stop saying that videos which help people with their oral performance are formidable. Our aim should be a combination of all these topics: our posture, our preparation, our organization of ideas, our interaction with the audience, and the items displayed to be more natural at speaking.

Being confident in public speaking is key for teachers to connect with their students and make lessons engaging. It is really important to keep our message clear. The tips can really help teachers make a strong impact. Plus, good preparation, proper posture, and non-verbal communication like gestures and eye contact are crucial.
