He has been ringing up for sunflower seeds five days a week by Mr. Charles, the owner of a store since the fourth grade when his mom took the hospital job. Mr. Charles is very hard to hear, so his store is a scream comppetition because he is hard to hear then he will yell to everybody so they yell back. Mr. Charles is the one that give the main character the book " Guinness World Records". He is very enjoy eating sunflower seeds like enjoy popcorn. And his dad, in his remember usually at home and eating sunflower seeds and watching TV. His dad usually drink alcohol, and when he drink it, he turn into a crazy person made him become cruel. But in a night, his mom decide to fight back. That night is a horrible night with him, he has to run with his mom so long, because his dad went super crazy by pull out a pistol and shoot at he and his mother. That night is so bad he and his mom run so far to Mr. Charles store then Mr. Charles call the cops to caught his dad and his dad has a sentence of be in prison for 10 years. Main character's mom:
- Work at the hospital
- Almost die when her husband shot at her
