It focuses too much on information only a handful of students will need. It cushions many kids from experiences like taxes and resumes and interviews, work ethic loans, etc. Gearing education towards job specific or old information is becoming much more useless because we are failing with the experiences to move us farther in life. Although I don't think that all high schools fail their students on this. I know of high schools that do a great job at prepare students, the problem is that the majority don't. The tools we are forced to learn in most high schools are pointless knowledge that we will never need again. The government needs to take a closer look at the circulam. High schools should have cooking classes, classes where you learn to pay bills, classes that teach you about loans and more life skills.
