High school does not accurately prepare you for life experiences. It focuses too much on information only a handful of students will need. It cushions many kids from experiences like taxes and resumes and interviews, work ethic loans, etc. Gearing education towards job specific or old information is becoming much more useless because we are failing with the experiences to move us farther in life. Students should start learning about important life skills junior/senior year.

I do not think that the majority of high schools prepare you for life experiences. Although I don't think that all high schools fail their students on this. I know of high schools that do a great job at prepare students, the problem is that the majority don't. The tools we are forced to learn in most high schools are pointless knowledge that we will never need again. The government needs to take a closer look at the circulam. High schools should have cooking classes, classes where you learn to pay bills, classes that teach you about loans and more life skills. Those skills will be used for the rest of their lives and it is important that they know how to do that stuff when it comes to the real world.
