Stepping Stones does have a section in their book called a Stone and these are often used in assignments. It's usually a page in the textbook that gives a variety of versions of a sentence. This could be a good thing, as it gives a lot of structure to the lessons. However, when the book becomes to repetitive, it may also get a little bit boring. this way the students are more likely to loose their motivation.
