  • Arepa : a cornmeal cake that can be grilled, baked or fried and it is split open and filled with cheese and meat.
  • Cachapa : similar to pancake and it is made out of puree of corn, sugar, salt, and oil. White cheese is normally inside and can be served with cream and jam. It's typically a breakfast food and may be accompanied by a side of fried pork.
