         <description><![CDATA[<div>Vejigantes represent the evils that Puerto Rico have faced. In the past they represented demons and the Moors. Now it represents current evils like Spain's oppressive government. They usually wear brightly colored bat like costumes with wide legs and arms. One thing that makes them unique is that they hold a balloon made out of a cow bladder and a string to attach it to. These balloons are called vejiga, which looks very common to the word Vejigante. They run around during the festival and whack people walking around. </div>]]></description>
