معلومات عن معركة الكرامة
 بدأت أحداث مَعركة الكرامة عندما أطلق الجيش الإسرائيلي النَّار بكميَّات كبيرة عَبر نهر الأردن بِهدف احتلال أجزاء مِن المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، وذلك في صباح يوم 21 آذار من عام 1968م، فقامت مَعركة ما بين الجيش الأردني والجيش الإسرائيلي كَانت مُدَّتها يَوم واحد، وفي منتصف النهار تمت إقامة هدنة لإيقاف إطلاق النار بين الجيشين بواسطة الأمم المُتحدة، أدت إلى قيام إسرائيل بسحب الجيش إلى خَلف النهر، إلَّا أنهم قد تركوا جنودهم الميتين في سَاحة المَعركة في داخل وقرب بلدة الكرامة، وهي بلدة صغيرة تَقع على حدود الأردن .

وعلى الرغم أن المعركة لم تستمر إلَّا لساعات لكنها كانت نقطة حاسمة حددت ملامح توسع جيش العدو باتجاه شرق الأردن، وعلى الرغم من الصراع الدامي الذي اندلع بين المقاومة الفلسطينية والجيش الأردني فيما بعد.</sub>
