He had severe back problems

His owner, Frank, overloaded him with goods. This strained his back causing his back condition to worsen.

His owner made him go on unnecessary trips up and down the mountains because of a. traumatic experience during his own childhood. The camels were overworked and too exhausted which made his back ache more. 

The other camels were selfish and care more about themselves than working together. this caused the trade union to fizzle. 

He was too proud to ask for help. he had to suffer the pain on his own. 

He liked to show off even during his break, which also contributed to his back collapse. he did not own up that his back ached even though it did and this caused  his back to worsen.
