Which types of government are more common in our modern world?

The governments that are more common in our modern world are democracy and republic even though its not clearly pure. This means that there are governments such as parliamentary democracy. I think this is because these types of government are the ones that are more about the people instead of "the king/queen" . Citizens rather be the rulers than have only one person take over.
