I recall selecting a couple of books, one of which was always a Froggy book. I always liked it when my mother read us these stories because she was always expressive while reading, which made the stories more entertaining.

One childhood book that stands out is Junie B. Jones; I read many books about her because I thought the experiences she had throughout her school years were humorous and relatable. Another book that stand out is a series of unfortunate events which remind me of silt reading during school. The third book that stands out is wonder, I enjoyed the book's message about how important it is to be kind to others.

I've improved my pleasure reading over the last two years because I couldn't remember the last time I bought a book to read. This year, I've read three books, which is a record for me. When I read a book, I usually do it at night and spend about an hour reading; if I go longer than that, I sometimes lose focus unless the book is really good.

For instance, several months ago, I kept seeing this book on TikTok that claimed to be really good, so I bought it. Also, before purchasing a book, I always look it up on Goodreads to see what other people think about it.

My favorite genre is fiction because I find it more appealing and captivating because the author has more creative freedom to write a meaningful story. It also allows us to expand our imagination by transporting us to another world full of new ideas and possibilities. Another genre I enjoy reading is romance; in fact, most of the books I've bought contain some form of romance.

Also, I've realized that the only time I do read is during the summer, when i'm not in school.

My personal reading identity will influence my approach in the classroom by ensuring that students enjoy reading their books by allowing them to choose their own books rather than always assigning them something to read. Also, I want to make sure that there are a variety of genres in my classroom library so that every student can find something they enjoy. In addition, I will not use popcorn reading in my classroom because I am aware of the stress it can cause students. Overall, I just want students to have a positive reading experience.
