Synopsis: Titanic is the movie of the nineties par excellence; starring Leonardo DiCaprio who plays the role of Jack, an artist who wins in a card game a third class passage to travel to the United States in the first voyage of the Titanic considered the largest ship built for that time. During the trip Jack meets Rose, a high-class girl with economic difficulties who forced her to marry a wealthy man named Cal, the latter only interested in Rose's prestigious surname. Jack and Rose fell in love during the trip, but Cal and Rose's mom are doing their best to prevent the main characters from having a relationship with each other, but it is an icberg who finally breaks the couple's bond but not the love they feel for each other.

After writing Jack Dawson's fictional character, James Cameron learned that there was a J. Dawson who died on the Titanic.


The adult couple lying in bed as the water floods the room is a tribute to Ida and Isador Strauss, the owners of the Macy's store, who died on the Titanic.

In reality, it is James Cameron's hands that can be seen sketching Rose, not Leo Dicaprio's hands.
