When I first joined Filbrit, I was so shy and hesitant to even approach Doc Mark. But the moment I met him in person, all that fear disappeared. He had a way of making people feel light, safe, and at ease. He was so easy to talk to, and from then on, he became someone I deeply looked up to.

Whenever I hosted an event, he was always there, cheering me on, encouraging me to give my best. I can still feel the gentle tap of his hand on my back and hear his words ringing in my ears: “Good job, Almyra", "Well done, Almyra, "What a great show, Amyra.” Those words gave me strength, and his smile and laughter whenever I cracked a joke gave me courage. Knowing I will never experience that again breaks my heart more than I can put into words.

I remember how Doc Mark would tell me he was like a father to me here. And truly, he was. He was more than my boss, more than my mentor. He was a father figure to a daughter chasing her dreams far away from home.

I will never forget how he encouraged me when he learned about my health condition. He told me to keep fighting, to keep getting better, and to never give up. His encouragement, his wisdom, and his kindness, they all gave me strength when I thought I had none left. This proves that he was not only a wonderful boss. He was a remarkable soul. A man who carried light in his heart and shared it with everyone around him. A man whose guidance touched so many lives, and whose memory will forever live in mine.

Doc Mark, thank you for being my mentor, my supporter, and my father here in a foreign land. Thank you for your laughter, your wisdom, and your belief in me. I will carry you with me always, in everything I do. You will never be forgotten, only remembered with the deepest love and endless gratitude. - Ms. Almyra

I only had a chance to know Doc. Mark for a very short time. From the very first time I met him, I knew and feel how good man he was as a boss. Doc. Mark is not the typical boss that you can imagine, he is very down to earth and you would not feel intimidated because of how caring and gentle he is as a Chairman. I can still remember the first time that we talked, he shared how passionate he is a Teacher, he told me how he and his family love music and the way he welcomed me in FilBrit family. I am completely regretful for not having the opportunity to get to know him well, but I knew he did his mission, it was to inspire, believing in oneself and not giving up on your dreams because he never gave up on helping and teaching us. I am so proud for having him as a boss and I will be forever grateful.

A Tribute to Dr. Mark

A Tribute to Dr. Mark
Chairman and Co-Founder, FilBrit Group of Companies

It’s difficult to find the right words to express the sadness of losing someone who made such a profound impact on so many lives, both personally and professionally.

Dr. Mark was more than a leader; he was a guide, a mentor, and an inspiration. His belief in my potential gave me the courage to embrace challenges and pursue growth. He saw strengths in me that I hadn’t yet recognised in myself; and his trust gave me the confidence to step into roles and responsibilities I might have otherwise doubted I could handle.

What I’ll always carry with me, beyond his professional wisdom, are the moments we shared: the light-hearted jokes that broke the tension during busy days, and the sincere, thoughtful conversations that reminded me how deeply he cared about people, not just results. He had a rare ability to lead with both strength and kindness.

One of the things I will always be deeply grateful for is how he welcomed me back to FilBrit with open arms after my resignation. That act alone spoke volumes about the kind of leader and person he was. It meant more to me than he probably knew.

Dr. Mark’s legacy will live on, not only in the success of the FilBrit Group but in every person he empowered, inspired, and believed in. I am honoured to be one of them.

Rest in peace, Dr. Mark. Thank you for everything.

With deepest respect and gratitude,

Teacher Ronnel

I've only met Dr. Mark Evans once, but it was a meeting that has tugged at me every once-in-awhile since he passed. It was when he interviewed me before I joined Filbrit. It was simple: a Google Meet, a few questions. He was professional, yet warm. "He's good at this," I thought. He complimented my English, and called me "a bright young lady". I liked that. That was about four years ago.

I wish I could say more, but I don't know what I should.

"He was a great mentor," "He was cheerful," "He was smart," "He was..." I don't know enough. But I'm sure there are may that have felt and feel that about him.

I hope the people that deeply loved him, respected him, and admired him can cope with this unfortunate loss.

My condolences, to those people- Guielle F.

I still remember the first time I met Dr. Mark. It was during a company event for OWWA, and I was new to the team. As soon as I got out of the car, I introduced myself as a new staff member from FTC AUH. He smiled and said, “Don’t worry, I know you.” That moment left a lasting impression on me. Even though we hadn’t officially met, he already made sure he knew his people. That’s the kind of leader he was — one who led not just with authority, but with genuine care and heart.

Writing this now brings a deep ache to my heart. It’s never easy to lose someone who felt like a “father” figure — especially in a foreign land. Dr. Mark was not only a mentor and a leader; he was a source of warmth and encouragement to everyone around him. Though we rarely met, he always made us feel welcome and seen. I still remember during our last event, he proudly made a video of me dancing — that was who he was, always celebrating the success and joy of others.

I can still hear his calm and gentle voice from the same day he passed. I was on the phone arranging a meeting for us, not knowing it would be the last time I’d hear that reassuring tone that had guided so many of us.

How do we move on from this loss? I honestly don’t know. But one thing I’m sure of — we will carry on his legacy. We will continue what he started by guiding every student we meet and helping them achieve their goals, just as he always wanted.

Thank you, Dr. Mark, for believing in me. You will be missed deeply, but your legacy, your kindness, and your vision will continue to live in all of us.
