I was a health teacher for 3 years and SEL is a huge passion of mine. I think they make everything more real and relatable for the students who often only see the world from their family's view.

I kept thinking about my high schools and somehow having my friends, who have various jobs, become virtual field trip leaders. For example, my husband is a heavy equipment operator and he could show the students what it's like to run the equipment and make the asphalt for roads. I also also friends that are engineers, cops, firemen, slope workers, bakers, printers, musicians, teachers, dentists, nurses, soldiers, stay at home moms, hair stylists, and massage therapists just to name a few. Also, we Alaskans know about our arctic lands, but what are the similarities and differences between our arctic and life in Antarctica?  Would be so cool to zoom in a VFT with scientists in Antarctic - with the ability to listen, learn and ASK QUESTIONS too!  :D
