What generation are they? The silent generation

What physical activities did they do? Cricket, tennis, swimming and rugby league

What physical activities do I do? Cricket, touch and rugby league

What influenced you to play these sports? Because it was what my family did them and I loved playing them

What influences me? Family, friends and because I like those sports

What was your favourite activity? Rugby league and swimming because when I became an adult I coached rugby league and owned the town pool.

What did you do with your whole family? Mainly swimming

What was the sporting community like? It was very racist and discriminatory

He played sport because it was all there was. But he grew up involved in sport. I have to. We have played sport because we grew up with it and we love it. He is 76 and still watching and enjoying rugby league and all the other sports he played. Even when he was a man, he coached my father in rugby league at school. So the only difference is, it isn’t the only thing to do now.

Rugby League is the main sport in our family. We watch it the boys play it and we all support the broncos. Some of us are more vocal than others when watching it. My Dad coaches the a-grade miners and my brother plays half back for that team. We love rugby league.

Cricket

Cricket is also very big in our family. Dad trains me and my brother plays in townsville. I play here. Grandad always watches it, he loves it. There are feuds in our house hold because we all support different teams in the big bash. Also me and my brother always compete on our performance. We love cricket.

Recommend.

I recommend all the sport we have today for 2030, because it will never go out of fashion.
