The usrah discussed faith in Allah, angels, and the holy books. Allah is One, the Owner of the universe, the Most Merciful, and does not beget nor is begotten. Angels were created from light, always worship Allah, have specific duties, and observe human actions. The holy books are the Torah, Gospel, Psalms, and the Qur’an as life guidance, with the Qur’an preserved from error and obligatory to practice.

Belief in the messengers and angels means having full faith without any doubt, because obeying the messenger is the same as obeying Allah. The prophets and messengers were sent to guide mankind, remind us of our purpose in life, deliver revelation and be the best examples for us. The greatest blessing for the ummah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is that he was sent to both mankind and jinn, and he will grant intercession on the Day of Judgment.

In daily life, this faith is reflected through gratitude, patience, tolerance, forgiveness, and kindness. Belief in the Hereafter reminds us that this world is temporary. It makes us long to meet Allah, fear His punishment, strive to do good deeds, and stay strong during hardships.

Belief in qada and qadar means accepting everything Allah has already decreed, including sustenance, marriage, and death. Al-Qadar is Allah’s plan, while al-Qada is His final decree. This belief brings peace of mind, removes unnecessary worries about the past and future, encourages perseverance, nurtures reliance on Allah, removes bad traits, and shapes good character.

Al-Iḥsān, the highest level of faith in Islam, means striving for excellence by worshipping Allah as though one sees Him and being conscious that He always sees us. It goes beyond fulfilling basic obligations, extending to kindness and beauty in all actions towards Allah, parents, people, animals, and even the environment making a Muḥsin superior in rank to a Muslim or Mu’min. The Qur’an and Ḥadīth emphasise Iḥsān as a virtue above justice, encouraging believers to perfect both worship and social dealings. Eschatology, belief in the afterlife, is a core Islamic creed that stresses accountability, resurrection, judgment, and eternal reward or punishment. Denial of it undermines morality, while belief motivates righteousness, as good and evil will be fully recompensed in the Hereafter. The relationship between Iḥsān and eschatology is clear: living with Iḥsān nurtures awareness of Allah’s presence, ensuring His pleasure and Paradise in the Hereafter, while also shaping a just, peaceful, and harmonious society in this world.

Manners reflect one’s character and should be practiced in daily life, not just understood in theory. They involve using good words and showing proper behaviour according to the situation. When dealing with parents, we should always be respectful, use kind words, and remain humble. In friendships, good manners are shown by helping one another, avoiding gossip, being cheerful, forgiving each other, not being arrogant, not whispering when in a group of three, not mocking others, and being careful with our actions. In conclusion, practicing good manners helps a person develop noble character, earn the respect of others, and gain the pleasure of Allah SWT.

ʿIbādah (worship) in Islam is not limited to physical rituals, but it carries deep wisdom (ḥikmah) that shapes a person’s life. Every act of worship has a purpose, which is to strengthen the relationship between humans and Allah while guiding them toward a better way of living.

One of the main reasons for the hikmah in ʿibādah is to strengthen faith (īmān). Through acts such as prayer and fasting, believers constantly remember Allah, which increases their trust and dependence on Him. In addition, worship helps develop good character. It teaches important values like patience, discipline, sincerity, and humility. For example, fasting trains self-control, while prayer builds consistency and obedience.

The sources of hikmah in ʿibādah come primarily from the Qur’an and the teachings of the Prophet (Hadith). These sources explain not only how to perform acts of worship but also their deeper meanings and purposes. Furthermore, reflection (tafakkur) allows individuals to think deeply about their عبادات, helping them understand the wisdom behind each action. Islamic scholars also contribute by explaining and interpreting these meanings in a clearer way.

In conclusion, ʿibādah is a complete system that benefits both the spiritual and personal development of a Muslim. The hikmah behind it helps individuals become more mindful, disciplined, and closer to Allah, leading to a balanced and meaningful life.

Salah is an important act of worship in Islam that must be performed correctly. Every Muslim who meets the conditions is obligated to pray. To ensure the validity of salah, one must be in a state of purity, cover the aurah, face the qiblah, and pray within the correct time.

Salah also has essential pillars such as intention, reciting Surah al-Fatihah, bowing, prostration, and ending with salam. Any actions like talking or excessive movement can invalidate the prayer. Before praying, a Muslim must perform wuduk properly, or tayammum if water is unavailable.

Khusyu’ is the focus and humility in prayer, where a person is fully aware of their connection with Allah. It can be achieved by proper preparation, avoiding distractions, and understanding the recitations.

In conclusion, salah requires both correct actions and sincere focus to strengthen one’s relationship with Allah.

Ṣalāh with khushūʿ is an important part of a Muslim’s life because it brings focus, humility, and awareness of Allah. Khushūʿ means having a calm heart and mind during prayer, not just performing physical movements. The Qur’an states that successful believers are those who are humble in their prayers.

Praying with khushūʿ helps strengthen a person’s relationship with Allah and improves their character. It teaches discipline, obedience, and self-control, while also preventing sinful behaviour. Through ṣalāh, a person develops good qualities such as sincerity, patience, modesty, and humility.

In addition, khushūʿ encourages self-reflection, where a person becomes aware of their actions and strives to improve themselves.
