In daily life, this faith is reflected through gratitude, patience, tolerance, forgiveness, and kindness. Belief in the Hereafter reminds us that this world is temporary. It makes us long to meet Allah, fear His punishment, strive to do good deeds, and stay strong during hardships.

Belief in qada and qadar means accepting everything Allah has already decreed, including sustenance, marriage, and death. Al-Qadar is Allah’s plan, while al-Qada is His final decree. This belief brings peace of mind, removes unnecessary worries about the past and future, encourages perseverance, nurtures reliance on Allah, removes bad traits, and shapes good character.

One of the main reasons for the hikmah in ʿibādah is to strengthen faith (īmān). Through acts such as prayer and fasting, believers constantly remember Allah, which increases their trust and dependence on Him. In addition, worship helps develop good character. It teaches important values like patience, discipline, sincerity, and humility. For example, fasting trains self-control, while prayer builds consistency and obedience.

The sources of hikmah in ʿibādah come primarily from the Qur’an and the teachings of the Prophet (Hadith). These sources explain not only how to perform acts of worship but also their deeper meanings and purposes. Furthermore, reflection (tafakkur) allows individuals to think deeply about their عبادات, helping them understand the wisdom behind each action.
