In kindergarten, I was very shy to the point where I would not talk to adults. One day, I had to use the bathroom but I was too scared to raise my hand and ask her in front of the entire class. I ended up having an accident. Later, whenever I was older, my mom told me that the teacher asked to have a conference with her after that had happened. My teacher told my parents that she thinks I should be in special education. Luckily, my brother is mentally handicapped and had been in special education so she knew for a fact I wouldn’t belong. The teacher who impacted me negatively did not like me cause I was on dance team and made it very clear that was the reason. The teacher who impacted me positively was respectful to me as a student, valued my abilities and allowed me to learn the way it was most effective to me. These teachers were both Algebra 2 teachers.
