Then he changes it saying he did help. Why does jay feel that he needs to change the story? Why is he doing this?

Jay was known among his peers as a liar. They state that he often made up stories. Jay had a reputation in school as weird, shady and even intimidating. He is also described as aggressive by one of his teachers. When confronting Jay's inconsistencies, the lead investigators seem to push aside major points of concern.
