Why do you think families in one form or another are found in every culture?

I believe that families are found in every culture because family is one of the most sacred parts of nature. You are born into one and will forever be a part of it. For those that lose their family, they find another in friends that give them the support needed to survive. Everyone has some type of family in their live regardless if it is blood-related or not. Also family is something that can be found in every corner of the world regardless if it is in Human culture or in mother nature families stick together through thick and thin.

How were you punished?

Everyone growing up has experienced some sort of punishment when they do something bad that was not meant to happen or was deliberately told not to do. For a lot of people being grounded was one of the main punishments. For me I would see the notorious "Chancla" from my mother along with being put to an extreme amount of chores that would have to get done before being allowed to leave the house to have my phone or computer. I think that while growing put everyone should be punished in one way or another to learn that there are some things in the world that you can and cannot due and that you will have to deal with the consequences.

What is the attitude towards the elderly?

When growing up I have always been told to respect the elderly because they have had more experience than you in life. I have learned that this is true and that they can teach you a lot if you choose to listen. For me I enjoy listening to the stories they have to tell because life for them was so much different than it is for us. They had fewer regulations, were more connected with people because they had no cell phones, and had to do things completely differently on the day-to-day due to the advanced change in technology these last 30-40 years. The elderly have also experienced the times you are going through right now and can provided advice that can be used in your life. The elderly are secretly one of the best life resources in the world.
